Each report section in AgWare MGR contains three main areas: criteria, data, and reports. Each section can be accessed using the tabs across the top of the report section, or by using the buttons on the toolbar. An advantage to using the view report button versus the report tab, is that you can jump directly to your desired report by using the button’s drop down menu.
Criteria Tab
The criteria tab contains the selection criteria for the report. This can be (and usually is) different for each main report section. Some reports allow you to choose a date range while other reports do not. MGR does remember your criteria selections throughout the program, so that you can easily jump between sections without having to reselect the criteria. For example, if I choose a group of farms on the Account Balances criteria, the same group of farms will be selected if I go to the GL Summary criteria screen.
Data Tab
The data tab shows you the returned criteria in a grid format. See the grids help article for detailed information about customizing, filtering, sorting, and exporting the data grids.
Report
If you choose to click on the report tab, this will take you a screen that shows you the list of available system reports for this report section. Simply select the desired report, and click the Run Report button. The report will then be loaded on screen. If the report is taking too long to load, you can click the stop loading report button at the top of the preview, narrow down your criteria, and run the report again. There is an option under the export menu (1) to open the report in a new window; this is a great feature to utilize if you would like to see multiple reports side by side. There is also a bookmark feature (2) on the left hand side of the report area that allows you to jump to that section of the report. For example, on the Account Balances reports, you will see manager codes in the bookmark section. By clicking on a manager code, you will jump directly to the spot in the report where that manager begins. There are also a couple of print options (3) you can set for your report. The first is choosing the way the page numbers are designed; either keep them numbered the way they were designed or restart the numbering with each group change. You can also turn show or hide the company image if you have one configured in the Setup, Firm Data section. There are also a number of design report (4) options available. The most used is the copy report option. This allows users to copy a system report so that they can apply their own changes.
